I usually portray women as brave, intelligent and wise in my writings. Women in the modern context are advancing in many areas. They are no more inferior to anybody in any form. Indian society in general worship women as goddess but the irony of women on the contrary stands as a paradox. Where the same society oppresses and suppresses the women. They are almost enslaved by the dominant male chauvinistic society. I have witnessed many such cases in my life. To state a few;

Elanchezhiyan P is an artist who carries tradition with him, having absorbed the sights and sounds of the village culture where he had spent his childhood in Tamil Nadu. The strands of culture in terms of festivals, rituals and iconography, he translates with ease and insightful conceptualization into visual forms. Bronze is the material for which he has predilection, a medium that serves best of his artistic intentions varying his visual language from quasi realism to geometric abstraction. Through the process of wax modelling, he constructs and structures his forms and casts then into bronze.
